Limpopo informal traders score big from the Department of Small Business Development
Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Mr Cassel Mathale will handover equipment to informal traders in various areas in Limpopo starting on Monday the 17th of September 2018.
The Department is mandated to create an enabling environment for small businesses including informal and micro enterprises as well as cooperatives to thrive through its enterprise development instruments. The Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP) has been initiated as one such instrument and designed specifically to focus on the informal sector since it has been identified as a potential and high employing sector.
Deputy Minister Mathale said “We are proud of this intervention especially because it includes skills development, compliance support, equipment, machinery, infrastructure and technological support for informal and micro enterprises which is vital for their success”
The Department will be handing over these equipment to eligible beneficiaries at various ceremonies and members of the media are invited as follows:
