The Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Honourable Cassel Mathale will continue to handover tools and equipment to informal business owners in Limpopo as the endeavour is to cover all the five regions of the province notwithstanding a separate schedule targeting the rest of the country.
The Department of Small Business Development together with Small Enterprise Development Agency continues to support informal business owners through the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP).
The beneficiaries will receive tools and equipment such as microwaves, cooking stoves, laptops, printers, deep freezers, deep frying pans, sewing machines, chafing dishes etc. These are expected to improve and grow the beneficiaries’ businesses. These traders are part of the 7848 applicants who applied to the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) throughout the country. Hon. Mathale has already been to Mopani, Capricorn and Sekhukhune region, in Limpopo.
Over 500 members of the community and people from the surrounding areas will also be part of the ceremony.

The IMEDP provides qualifying entrepreneurs with basic business management training followed by a 100% grant for the acquisition of basic equipment and tools.
