The Commissioner of the Border Management Authority (BMA), Dr Mike Masiapato accompanied by Deputy Commissioners will on Sunday, 28 January 2024 hold a media briefing to provide a report back on the outline of the Festive Season border operations. The briefing will also announce key statistics of travellers movement during that period. The 2023/24 festive season was a remarkable time where a noticeable increase in the movement of persons and goods entering and exiting the Republic of South Africa was experienced.
The Border Management Authority will also highlight a number of achievements and interceptions recorded as part of operations.
